NURSING TUTOR
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the nursing curriculum.
- Use innovative teaching methods, including simulations, demonstrations, and case studies, to enhance learning.
- Oversee students during clinical placements, ensuring they gain hands-on experience in line with course objectives.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students during practical sessions.
- Mentor and advise students on academic, personal, and professional development matters.
- Identify and address students' learning needs to ensure their success.
- Prepare and administer tests, assignments, and exams to evaluate students' progress.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing and education through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BScN) or a Diploma in Nursing with a Teaching Certificate. A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is an added advantage.
- Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Prior experience in teaching or training in a healthcare or academic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and ethics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching and administrative tasks.
