Mission of the OMC Library
To provide quality information services based on the provision of better healthcare solutions and training through compassionate and personalized touch, pegged on critical thinking, innovation and technology.
Membership
Membership to the library is open to all students once they are registered in the beginning of the trimester and are cleared by the finance department.
The Outspan Medical College Library is organized into the following departments:
- Collection Development Section - The activities in this department include acquisition and processing of print and non print information materials. The library staff, academic team and the students are involved in recommendation of acquisition of new materials.
- Digital Library - The department is involved in provision of non-print information materials that includes electronic books and journals and the lecture notes.
- Periodical and Special collection - The section provides users with access to serial publications such as medical journals, newspapers, magazines and government publications.
- User Service Section - This section is tasked with the circulation of information materials which includes borrowing, reserving, charging and discharging of information, materials and reference services. The main role of this section is to make sure that all the information needs of the users are catered for.
LIBRARY FINES & CHARGES
Overdue Fines
Circulation collection is Kshs. 50 per day per book. The fine is charged for both short loan and long loan collection.

Saturday 8.00 a.m – 5.00 p.m
