Outspan Medical College recently held its 11th graduation ceremony on the 19 th of November 2022, that was presided over by the Honorable His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua, the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, as the guest of honor. The ceremony was also graced by the Nyeri County Governor, H.E. Governor Mutahi Kahiga, various Members of Parliament including the Nyeri Town Constituency MP Hon. Mathenge Duncan Maina as well as several Members of County Assembly.
The graduation ceremony brought together stakeholders in the medical training industry and representatives of the Health Ministry, including the Ministry of Health Cabinet Secretary, Ms. Susan Nakhumicha Wafula. A total number of 415 students graduated in various disciplines namely; Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Health Records, Psychology, Health Service Support and Nutrition and Dietetics. They were awarded Certificates and Diplomas in their disciplines and given the power to read and do all that appertains to their respective certificates or diplomas.
The theme for the graduation ceremony was ‘A Global Approach to Healthcare Training’ which focused on how Outspan Medical College trains its students to be professionals who can deliver internationally, as well as reflect global quality standards, in line with the institutions ISO 9001:2015 certification. For this reason, Outspan Medical College adheres to strict quality standards of training and instruction of its students, by ensuring continuous improvements especially when it comes to technological practices and innovations.
